What counts as a search?
The honest version, because this is the question everyone asks second.
One property, one search
A search is charged once when you research a property address — parcel lookup, owner records, obituary research, and the family tree are all included in it.
Edits are free
Adding heirs, correcting relationships, recalculating shares, and viewing a lead cost nothing. Work a lead as long as you like.
Re-running costs one
Deliberately re-researching a completed lead — to pick up new evidence — charges another search. If the first run never finished, re-running it is free, and a normal page reload never charges anything.
A search covers one distinct property, so 15 to 200 searches a month is a working list of 15 to 200 addresses. Need materially more than Team? Ask about volume pricing.
Billing questions
- Is there a free trial?
- Not at the moment — every plan is month-to-month with no contract, so the smallest commitment is a single month. Get in touch if you'd like a guided walkthrough before subscribing.
- What happens if I hit my search limit?
- Research pauses for the rest of the billing period rather than silently charging overages. You can upgrade to a higher tier at any time and pick up immediately.
- Do unused searches roll over?
- No — the allowance resets at the start of each billing period.
- How do I cancel?
- From Settings → Billing, which opens the Stripe customer portal. Cancel there and you keep access through the end of the period you've paid for.
- Can I change plans later?
- Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge; downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
- Do you offer team seats?
- The Team plan is built for shared volume under one account today. If your team needs separate logins or more than 200 searches, tell us how you're structured and we'll price it.
